daam byo raak revisited

I haven't long been visited my playground because I was busy with projects, teaching in States and China. I feel it's high time to practice traversing on  daam byo raak,Englewood,NJ.

I gained weight while I stay at China from May and July. For a test piece, I came by at Daam Byo Raak.  I kept steady pace, it worked but couldn't round traverse. Again I feel this is good workout.
Hoped to come by there from time to time.

Lingyin temple

Lingyin temple, built a.d. 328. On humid Saturday afternoon  prof. Arthur Xia and 2 alumnis from London have gotten together. This temple is regarded as one of the richest one in China.   I've never seen this crowded temple before.  Temple is located below the North mountain, Hangzhou, China.

This looked like goblin, a kind of demon.

Prof. Arthur Xia, vice dean of ZJC,Hangzhou and alumis from ZJC. They are studying design in London.  Many Chinese students choose U.K. and U.S.A.

3 dimensional carving in China is regarded as highest artistic level.

四天王 A kind of god who keep temple and people who visit the temple. The four warrior spirits or archangels.

釋迦如來 there were 4 different figures at 500 disciples for Budha.

Chinese temple has typical proportion. Dexterious details and blank spaces match together.
Temple in Korea has embellished colorful eaves while Chinese temple keep it monochrome.

To my feeling, Chinese people, particularly Southern Song dynasty tried to carve every blank space.

Eatery places across the zoo nearby Zhi Jiang road.

Later I found dining place in the center, bullflog stew was serving at 46 U yen.

I feel people at Xiaoshing enjoyed playing music, dancing, getting together,
even under the gate concourse, under willow tree shade.
The city added this carved pavement for city's prosperity and revival of economy.
The city were purveying almost all the fabric industry, largest manufacturing
center in the world.
Playing together, I feel people could reach tranquility, chatting, eating.

At the West park of Xiaoshing City Center, many people were idling singing, dancing,
Taichi something.  It was very comfortable Saturday morning. it took me 45 minutes
from Ku Chiang. I could listen to a brass band practicing.  One of the tune was very
familiar to me.  It was OST for Korean TV drama.

Stone carved walls near by City Center. 12 blocks that illustrates historical
epic.

People were feeding to gold fish.

Following pictures were taken from Xiaoshing紹興, China and Hangzhou when Seungmo Shin
stay in China. May weather out there were roughly gloomy, humid and rainy.  People didn't
care bringing umbrella all the time. Xiaoshing was city of waterway, park, Song宋 dynasty
historical sites were scattered around the cities of Hangzhou沆州.  I enjoyed much of staying
there,  Town, places and people out there were lovely.
